Angus Bankes is a technology entrepreneur with experience of growing and selling tech start-ups in the UK and the USA. During the first wave of global internet businesses,he founded Moreover Technologies, which became the leading online news and blog information platform. He served as Chief Technical Officer and successfully developed and sold the company to Verisign (NASD: VRSN), where Angus subsequently ran the technology for both moreover.com and weblogs.com. Angus then joined Skimlinks as CIO.
Angus is now executive director of the AI company MediaGamma responsible for machine learning products in the adtech and ecommerce space. He also co-founded and is Board Member of the lifestyle retail and travel brand PetsPyjamas, as well as the sustainability tracking company Positive Luxury. He is a board observer and advisor to the venue booking company HireSpace and to the PropTech company Built-ID.

Ian Bennett is an expert at scaling up businesses, managing growth, acquisitions, integrations and successful exits. He took Deutsch Telecom’s Eurobell Holdings from a customer base of 17,000 to 200,000 in 3 years and managed a successful exit for shareholders and management. Following that he took a further two private equity backed projects in the telecoms reseller space to exit. As a member of the management team of Azzurri he undertook the acquisition and integration of 15 owner managed acquisitions in a successful buy and build programme building turnover to over £100m and a successful exit of £182m giving a 4.9X return for 3i and substantial returns for management. He has managed M&A processes between the UK, U.S And Asia and as a non executive director/advisor helped entrepreneurs both grow organically, acquire and raise investment funds.

Tom Donnelly is a media and telecoms specialist with business growth experience in both large multinationals as well as start-ups. He launched IBM's initial internet services of internet connectivity and hosting across 22 countries in EMEA, struck landmark technology deals for content with the BBC and ICL/Fujitsu and co-founded internet incubator Cube8 which was floated on AIM raising £7m. As co-founder and E-commerce director of Citywire, Tom designed and integrated a versatile real-time publishing platform that empowered journalists to publish directly to the web with live equity and fund data. As a member of the UK's Satellite Consultative Committee, Tom advised the government on telecoms deregulation and co-ordinated the commercialization of data encryption technologies with the US National Security Agency.

Lawrence Gould is an entrepreneurial ACA and has a demonstrable ability in launching, developing and growing businesses. As CFO Getty Images, Lawrence managed organic and acquisition growth of £10m to £100m and floated the company on NASDAQ. He also co-founded and launched Citywire, the first SFA regulated financial news site, obtaining investment from Thomson Reuters. He has applied his commercial and financial acumen across many industries, from media to recruitment to engine development. He has particular experience in leveraging the value of intellectual property, having done so in the news, photography, film, music and engine patent businesses, where in many cases he developed new income streams. Lawrence is currently non-Exec director / advisor to a network of growth companies including Youthsight (market research) and Shoot Gardening (online garden design and support).He is also a mentor for the incubator, Work Avenue, and a trustee of One to One Children’s Fund

Lloyd Pinder has a proven track record in financing, operating, ‘scaling up’ and exiting small to medium sized business. He has diverse experience in working with start-up companies ranging from IT distribution, Internet and as a direct Importer from the Far East and India. Lloyd has also had many years’ experience in driving sales teams with the world’s largest technology distributer, Ingram Micro Inc., (annual sales in the UK, c£700million). He is a commercial business leader and prides himself in collaborating relationships with customers, suppliers and stakeholders from CEO/Board level to junior employees. Additionally, he has extensive experience in sales negotiation with major retailers in the UK both in the IT trade and retail market.

Paul Rayfield is a specialist in Marketing and Customer Management
He helps companies grow by creating programmes that recruit and retain customers based on their value and by helping you structure your strategy, objectives and organisation to reflect those customer values. He was a director of advertising agency Evans Hunt Scott, he has written and presented courses for the Institute of Direct Marketing and as a partner in QCI consulting has worked worldwide from South America to Scandinavia. Much of the above was with larger corporates but Paul has also started and sold two of his own businesses in two different market sectors and remains an active partner in a third. Whatever the task or the size of organization, Paul, like everyone else at Scale Up wants to make a difference to your business.

Andrew Morgan has over 30 years' experience in commercial property, working within leading specialist and built asset advisory consultancies. He has worked extensively in the media and financial sectors, with central and local government, professional services and not-for-profit organisations. He has worked on national portfolios, managed transactions from single serviced office suites to 250,000 sq.ft. acquisitions and helped conglomerates outsource their day to day global property services to regional real estate providers. With experience in multiple sectors and geographies, we can help you navigate local markets and supply chains, develop your plans and help you deliver solutions and manage risks associated with property contracts. In practical terms this means:

2) Identifying and appraising growth options, locations and alternative workplace solutions
